Tongue Piercing

Finally got it done at Westcoast Piercing in Surrey last Saturday afternoon. Didn't hurt when she did it, more like a burning sting. Hurt more later, lots of shaved ice and Advil, for the pain and swelling. Thanks to Dad for buying us a Margarita machine last Christmas, lots of shaved ice. Still not as bad as I thought it would be. Hellish eating though! Made some vegetable and black bean soup pureed. It's day 4 now and it's getting better. Still taking some Advil. Talking is getting better now too. Quite a bad speech impediment at first. S's are still funny. I like it. I know most people think I'm crazy, well you know me, I am crazy!

New Laptop!

Yeah! Got myself a brand new 13.3" macbook. 2x 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400rpm. Also bought a 500GB Time Capsule. Probably went overboard for what I need but I love it. Bit of a pain in the ass not having internet at the RV for transfering data and seting up time capsule. But thats part of the reason I got the laptop so I can go close to the RV Park buildings where they have (wireless) where ever we are. Usually the wireless at these places suck! unless your parked right by the building. Last Oct. I got portable internet from Rogers, but it doesn't work here. I hate Rogers! I have had to phone them every month since I got it to correct my billing, and now it doesn't even work here. We should be here for 3 months.
On another note.
I have my Dr.'s appt in Sept for my reduction. Keep you posted on that. My mammogram was clear.
Dad is doing OK, except he has fallen a couple of times. Has not hurt himself to bad mostly, but the last time he might of cracked a rib. Nothing the Dr. can do, just time to heal. He's feeling better now.
Brad's Birthday on Friday, nothing special planned. Last year was the big party, and it cost a fortune, so this year is low key.
Oh yeah, I'm getting my tongue pierced.

Update on Dad

The problem is that his heart is beating 113 beats a minute, waaay too fast. That's why he has been out of breathe and tired. They gave him (digoxen) to slow it down. A week later now and it seems to have helped quite a bit. He still can't do very much and I suppose that is not going to change. It's only a matter of time now, we just don't know how much time this will buy him. He wanted to plant today Sat May 24th so I went over and took him for tomatoe plants. Ended up getting tomatoe, peas & sweet peas. He weeded a area about 2' x 6" and that was about it. Brad and I had to do the rest. Hate gardening! but couldn't say no to him. I guess I'll either hate it more or I'll come to love it, seeing as I will probably have to take care of it all.
No word on the mammogram yet. Not sure that that's not a bad sign, it's been two weeks. Positive thinking from everyone please.

Going away on June 6th to Rock Creek with friends to see friends (taking RV) then to Kamloops, Brad will attend a work meeting. I will go see my Bro and sister-in-law. Then we come home and for the first time ever...we've been asked to babysit for Brad's grandchildren for two nights...WOW! Should be fun, and Isabella should be challenging (2 years). Jake is 9 and Conner is 11.

Mammogram

Had my mammogram today. Took longer than normal, I broke the machine! lol not really but the machine did break so had to use the other machine. Nurse thought I should consider a breast reduction, she said "they are quite heavy" and I laughed, and laughed. I have been talking about it lately quite seriously. Never thought I would, but we'll see. Trying to lose weight first and then we'll see. Could get them back up where they belong though and that would be great thing.
Renewed my car insurance BEFORE IT RAN OUT, yeah me!
Went to Dad's this morning to help garden but as I suspected he did not want to. Too Tired. He doesn't seem very good, too tired. next week he has an appointment to check his pacemaker. Hopefully thats it but I don't think so, they had there eye on it in the Hospital not long ago and it was fine. If pacemaker is OK I will take him to the DR. and see what we can find out.
Only thing I didn't get done is my car washed. Its bad, 7 months sitting in the carport. Maybe tomorrow?
Mac & Cheese for dinner cause I forgot to take anything out. Homemade though not Kraft Dinner.ICK
Brad is napping for an hour cause he's an old man now. lol and he actually worked the whole week with no coming home at lunch for nap. he's turning over a new leaf he says. we'll see.

Home Sweet Home - Canada

Well were back home in Canada and we're back at BCRV in Burnaby where we stayed 2006 and part 2007.
Settled in and Brad is back at work. Horseshoes start tonight, should be fun. Really rusty I'm sure. Me not the horseshoes.
Dart wind up Party on Saturday. That is always fun! I think we are having a gambling theme.
Going to Dad's tomorrow to see if he wants to do any gardening. He said he did but today he wasn't too sure. We'll see tomorrow. All in all he's doing pretty good. We are hiring Molly Maid, because none of the independent cleaners show up for work. They came once while I was gone for over a month. They were supposed to come every week. So on Monday thats what I did. Dad is in charge of the food and kitchen counters and Laundry. He is trying and thats what matters.
Going for Mammogram on Friday. Haven't been for a few years. Everyone cross they're fingers.
